Be Compelling - Not "Selling!"

Sales, the all-important end result we all labor to achieve. The life blood of our business. We aspire to increase sales and grow our business in order to support our families and achieve our dreams.

But “sales” are the very end of a much longer process. A predictable, repetitive and deliberate process, one which starts with building trust and credibility with your prospect. It starts by forging a relationship. All too often marketers try and rush their prospect to make a decision to buy with an introductory ad, salesletter brochure etc…. Instead of giving the prospect some valuable information, answering a question, offering a solution to a problem they currently have in order to gain their trust and eventually tear down their natural wall of resistance to being sold…they go right for the sale.

You’re better off to offer compelling information. Information or copy that compels a prospect to take an action. If you’re compelling them to take some sort of action, you’re engaging the prospect. You’re building a relationship. You’re building trust. So at the very end of the process it’s a natural and logical transition to offer the solution to a problem they have. And they have little to no resistance in buying the solution you offer. Plus, they don’t have the feeling of being “sold”. They simply made an educated decision on their own.

Compelling is King! Not selling. Be compelling to your prospects at all times. Compel them to request information, join your mailing list, text your short code, scan your QR code…always, always be compelling and leave the selling to the other guy!

Thank you for visiting!
